The children have been learning all about First Aid this week, focusing on basic CPR, the recovery position and bandages.
We had a visit from qualified first aid teacher Lisa Wilde who demonstrated how the peform basic CPR on a casualty. The children were able to practice maintaining the airways, giving breaths and practiced 30 compressions on the dolls. We also practice the recovery position which gave us the giggles and tried putting bandages on each other. Further activities were extended throughout the day and week with practiciing how to dial 999 for the emergency services and remembering where we lived.
