Meeting the standards of EYFS
The aim of Worth Preschool is to offer a hand to hold while your child grows. To make this possible, we follow the EYFS framework.
The EYFS is designed to shape the expected standards of learning development and care of children from their birth until they turn 5. Any school or Ofsted-registered early years providers must meet these standards. It is a core document for all professionals working in the foundation years and assures parents that these commitments and principles that will underpin their child’s learning and development experience.
About Worth Pre-school
Since January 2012, Worth Pre-school has been a registered education centre for children. Over the last 7 years, we have gained recognition for the care and structure that we offer. We have been rated ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, something we intend to remain over the upcoming years.
Our success has allowed us to expand our space to give your children more during their time here. In 2018, we introduced a new outdoor classroom, which we have named ‘the snug’. This space is used for a variety of functions, such as music time or story time. It also gives children the opportunity to enjoy some quiet time if need be.
Due to being in the grounds of Worth primary school, the children are able to use some of the school facilities. This gives them first-hand experience into what their next stage in learning will be and to meet the teachers whose care they will be under. We believe that this is a wonderful stepping stone for their next stage in life.
Katheryn has a wonderful 16-year history of both young education and childcare that truly shows. She has a BA (Hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies and an EYFS as an Early Years’ Teacher (EYPS). She is a proud mum of 2 and also has previous career roles under her belt, including PA and advertising.
