We had a visit from Andrea from Dental Box and the charity Action for Children who came in to pre-school to demonstrate the importance of dental hygiene. The children were enthralled with the lovely puppets she brought along and dentists props such as mirrors, toothbrushes, animals with teeth and a gorgeous singing teddy bear who sang a catchy tune whilst the children practiced brushing teeth for a whole two minutes.  The children were given time to explore the props and dressing up costumes before finishing with a talk about healthy foods and a story.  Children had the option to take…
The children have been learning all about First Aid this week, focusing on basic CPR, the recovery position and bandages.
We had some special little visitors to pre-school this week.  Mr and Mrs Athorn who are grandparents to one of the children in pre-school visited with their beautiful hen called 'Rose' and six fluffy chicks.
We sent our pre-school leavers off in style in July with a bumper end of year show and celebation party.

We have welcomed lots of children back to Worth Pre-School after their summer holidays and also said a big 'hello' to our new children.  Everyone has been settling in to the routine and learning what to do, along with making some new friends. 
Operation Christmas Child, ran by Samaritan's Purse helps children who have been victims of war, poverty, famine, disease and natural disasters.  The children at Worth Pre-School were asked to take a shoebox to fill with their parents and carers for children who live in countries in need such as Sub-Saharian Africa, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
